To
this day, Steve is the only person with whom I have been able to be
completely open and honest about everything. He made me feel so safe
and accepted that I was able to share my true feelings about life, love,
and family. I think I would have ended up a much lonelier person had
Steve not shown me how to be open with people.
I wish I had had the opportunity to get to know the man that Steve
became later on in life (although I imagine he was still the same goofball
I knew in college). I am blessed with many wonderful memories of Steve
(cooking, fishing, camping, drinking, dancing, and most of all, just
talking). His gifts too numerous to list, in Steve's memory I can only
say: "He was beautiful."
